IE Project Heart

IE Project Heart

IE Project Heart helps people and communities prepare for cardiac emergencies and take an active role in heart health. Through CPR and AED education, increased access to lifesaving equipment, youth heart screenings, and community education, we provide practical tools that can help people recognize risk, respond with confidence, and take steps toward prevention.

Because when a cardiac emergency happens, knowing what to do, and having the right tools nearby, can make all the difference.

We are currently restructuring our programs and will resume education classes in 2027.

HEART HEALTH & PREVENTION

Workshops

Understanding your health is an important part of caring for it. Through interactive workshops on nutrition, heart health, and sudden cardiac arrest awareness, our workshops help participants better understand their risk, recognize potential warning signs, and explore everyday choices that support long-term health and well-being.

AED ACCESS

AED Loaner Library

Access to an AED can make a critical difference during a cardiac emergency. Our AED Loaner Library is designed to expand access to lifesaving equipment, with a particular focus on helping youth sports organizations prepare for sudden cardiac arrest and navigate evolving AED requirements under California’s AB 310.

Youth Heart Screening at Poly High School in Riverside

EARLY DETECTION & PREVENTION

Youth Heart Screenings

Our free youth heart screenings, offered in partnership with UCLA’s chapter of Saving Hearts Foundation, help identify potential heart conditions that may otherwise go unnoticed. With a focus on young people, including student-athletes, these screenings provide an opportunity to better understand their heart health, recognize potential risks, and take informed steps toward their health and well-being.
