The Healthcare Scholarship Program strengthens the Inland Empire’s healthcare workforce by expanding access to education for local students pursuing healthcare careers. By providing financial support at various stages—from first-time college students to those in advanced training—the program reduces barriers and helps build a pipeline of skilled professionals committed to serving their communities.
In 2025, we distributed over $20,000 in scholarships to students!

1) College Pathway
For graduating Inland Empire high school students seeking a healthcare degree at a community college or university.
2) Technical Education Pathway
For graduating Inland Empire high school students pursuing healthcare technical, vocational, trade, or certification programs.
3) Continuing Education Pathway
For adult learners or those continuing education while pursuing a healthcare degree at a community college, university, trade school, vocational school, or certification program. Must reside in the Inland Empire.
PLUS! Dr. Robert H. Joseph Memorial Scholarship
The Dr. Robert H. Joseph Memorial Scholarship honors the legacy of Dr. Robert H. Joseph, a dedicated ophthalmologist who was committed to advancing healthcare and improving patient outcomes. This special award is open to ALL scholarship applicants; all scholarship applicants will be considered for this award. No separate application is needed.
An additional award of up to $1,000.
JUST ADDED! Scotty Bear Project Kindness Scholarship
In memory of Scotty Hinrichs and his belief in the power of “paying it forward”, this scholarship was established by the Hinrichs Family to support the importance of kindness in the healthcare setting. All applicants across our scholarship pathways will be eligible for this award.
