Community Workshops (KWI)
How emotions, relationships, and responses shape our homes and schools
Community Workshops through our Kindness Works Initiative support parents, guardians, and caregivers in understanding how emotions shape behavior and how everyday responses at home can influence what unfolds at school. Through guided discussion, practical examples, and real-life scenarios, participants explore bullying dynamics, peer conflict, and emotional regulation in a way that feels accessible and actionable.
Rather than reacting to challenges as they arise, caregivers learn to recognize early warning signs, ask thoughtful questions, and respond with kindness and empathy. By strengthening emotional awareness and communication skills families can better support children’s mental and emotional well-being.
Bullying: Starting The Conversation
This session helps caregivers clearly define bullying, distinguish it from everyday unkind behavior, and recognize early warning signs before patterns take root. Through guided discussion and practical examples, participants gain language, perspective, and steady response strategies that strengthen communication between home and school. By approaching the topic with clarity and intention, families are better equipped to respond thoughtfully, support their children with confidence, and contribute to school environments grounded in respect and accountability.
